On a trip to Spain to buy the Alabaster that I have fallen in love with since three years. Santiago Martinez the director of CIDA impress me with his grit and passion in expanding the knowledge of this material in so many fields: scientifically, historically, culturally, and of course artistically! He is also working on many new projects, both international and national, industrial and artisanal! So great to catch up again! I was here two years ago and so much has happened! When something is good, it grows and expands! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thankful to be invited to present my sculptures at Kulturhuset’s “pop up” gift shop! As a part of the exhibition: “The treashold is a prism”, by SOUTHNORD, curated by Marcia Harvey Isaksson.
The gift shop is curated by: Mia Bonhomme, Altarspace together with Mi Tjio from Kulturhuset.
To see my sculptures in this interior environment, where ethnicity is the centre of the presentation really gave them the warmth they deserve! ❤️🙏🏽

I kind of liked how the white elephant and the black hippo stood facing each other, overlooked by the monkey on the wall.

The Stellers Seacow was extinguished 27 years after the humans “discovered it” It was used as food for the whale hunters. Sometimes the whale hunters left a wounded female on the shore, then other sea cows would come to see how she was, and so they were killed too.

Torsos in Spanish alabaster. Last weekend of my show at Konsthallen ABC. Took the opportunity today to photograph some of my sculptures in the beautiful light of this space.
Looking forward to my trip back to Spain in November! To visit the quarry and industry of this vulnerable, spiritual and sturdy translucent stone! I am completely mesmerised by this precious material! To carve in stone is to unlock time and simontainously watch the future unfold under your hands and eyes.
That’s why stone got me good for over 25 years! ❤️❤️❤️

Vernissagen igår på Konsthallen ABC gick väldigt bra! Så roligt att så många kom! Jag är väldigt nöjd med hur rummet blev! Gillar den mjuka färgen på väggarna som tillsammans med ljuset låter mina verk så väl komma till sin rätt!
Jag kommer att finnas på plats fredag, lördag och söndag mellan 12-16 tom söndagen den 15 oktober då det är Finissage!

Isn’t it curious that dugongs practise this position in the water! 😀
I have been fascinated by manatees and dugongs and of course the extinct Stellers sea cow for quite some years now.
The time has come to pay them my tribute with sculptures. ❤️
Both Manatees and Dugongs are threatened species now.
